Lots of Smiles!

It's been fun to get more smiles out of these cute babies! It's hard to catch them on the camera but we've gotten bits and pieces of their smiles captured. Today I got both babies to smile at me at the same time. It was heavenly - although I wasn't fast enough to get a picture of it.

Anna was in such a smiley mood this day. I was trying to hold her in one hand and my phone in the other and get her to smile…wasn't an easy task!

Sadie was studying for a big test she had recently. I was helping her study and I had to snap a shot of her studying with a pencil in one hand and a cute baby in the other.
Love this picture of little babies each leaning on a big sisters' shoulder.

When I would lay in bed at night and daydream of having twins, this was one of my dreams. I knew we would be at Chad's wedding shortly after the babies were born. I thought it would be so fun to each have a baby in the front pack and slow dance. Had to get a snapshot of my dream coming true! We had so much fun dancing while the babies slept away at the wedding.

Waking up!

It's been so fun this week to watch the girls really start waking up to the world around them! I can't get enough of the many different faces they make.

I haven't come down from my "high" of the miracle that we have these darling babies in our family. The joy they have brought into our home is palpable. We all love them so much. I can hardly imagine our life without them.

This morning before church we took some pix of all the kiddos together. Nate continues to be so gentle  and precious with his little sisters. He adores them.

9 Years

Dave took these pictures of the babies taking a nap in our bed. The most fitting part about the picture is that far off in the distance there is a framed picture of me holding Brie. I look at that picture every night as I lay down in bed. Yesterday was 9 years since we had our beautiful baby Brie. Just the other day I was holding a baby close (can't remember which one), there was beautiful music in the background, and then Ash showed me the start to a sketch Dave had done (and then started over on a new page) of Brie that she had found. That was the perfect storm for the flood gates to open and I went back in my mind to 9 long years ago to our special times with Brie.

I already knew it, but it was confirmed in my heart that nothing will ever replace the aching in my heart to have Brie with us. Not even two precious twin girls that have brought indescribable joy to my heart.
It's harder to tell the babies apart when they are sleeping. The top sleeping baby is Audrey and then Anna.
Dave took the older girls out for a little shooting. Not sure who loves it more - Dave or the girls.

Sleepy girls while watching conference today. Anna and Audrey.
I had Audrey on my shoulder and then Anna just snuggled up and is sliding Audrey's pajamas off her shoulder. :)
Love the picture of Nate sitting in the boppy while reading with a baby snuggled up.
Sadie got Anna dressed up in this snuggly sweatshirt. They are little dolls!

Sadie was really set on having a bottle drinking race. So they filled 3 bottles up with water and had me time them to see who could finish the bottle first. For the record, Ash won. Their mouths were all tired and they couldn't believe how much work it took.

Christmas was only 3 months ago...

And we finally got our present in the ground! We did have a thing or two going on the last couple months. :) The final product is at the bottom of the page!

The girls are getting sooooo close to some big smiles! We call them half smiles. Too hard to capture on a picture at this point but it's sure fun to watch. Audrey seems just a couple days ahead of Audrey on development and it makes sense since she's a little bigger. She's the one who has been working most on her smiles.

Speaking of size, at their appointment on
Monday Audrey weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and Anna weighed 6 lbs 15 oz.

Anna and Audrey moved out of our room into their room. We are all sleeping better now! Here they are snuggled up in Ash, Sadie and Nate's crib.
They still love their bath time but sadly, they won't be able to share one bath much longer. They are getting so big.
Anna all dressed up to go to school.
I don't know how I would do twins without the help I get from Sadie and Ash! They are amazing helpers.
All five of us (the older 5, that is) jumped together when they first got the trampoline all set up. It was so fun! I grew up with a trampoline so this feels like part of my childhood!
