We love our little Nate! In the past few days he has started smiling at us for real - when he is wide awake and looking at us. We haven't captured one of those on film yet. He has started being more alert and we love every minute of it. He is enjoying using his hands more and grabs whatever he can. He has discovered my hair and Sadie's too. And when he grabs it, he doesn't want to let go! We think he weighs about 9 1/2 pounds (Dave stood on the scale with him). It's still a dream to have a baby around. I don't think any of us have gotten use to it yet.

What a cute little guy! I can't wait to meet my newest nephew in person. Can we call him 'Nate the Great'?
He is great...so yes. We're coming out for Christmas so we'll actually get to show him off.
He is so cute! Maybe we'll have to come at Christmas instead of thanksgiving...it would be nice to see everyone together.
Kendra told me today that they might be in Clayton for Christmas, so if they do make it out, we'll have to all get together and have a "Christmas" dinner! (You know, like how we used to do Thanksgiving or Easter, but not on the real day . . .) I'm so excited to see you guys!
Can't wait!!!! Will there be mock champagne? We'll have to see where our cooking skills have taken us in the past 2 1/2 years!
Melissa.....we're going to get our plane tickets tonight....tell me the dates that you'll be there, so we can make sure we overlap a little....
